Did Graves lighthouse at some point have a signal Bell that washed into Boston harbor during a storm?
The signal bell was standard equipment at light and fog stations, but the original Graves bell is long gone. The dock has been washed away at least four times; perhaps the bell went out with one of those big storms? We found the old fog horn air compressor when diving in the cove, the old USCG mooring block and an old radiator (which is funny, because the tower never had steam heat!).
